I hadn't taken more than 5 shots when someone grabbed the back of my neck and started screaming at me. It was dark, so I grabbed back. It turned out to be a masculine female security staffer from Zappa's band. She was upset that I had a "professional lens" at the show. I let go of her and followed her out to the lobby where I questioned her about the photo policy which I did not see stated anywhere in the venue, on the tickets, etc. She just said "It's a rule." Not wanting to make the situation any worse, I told her I would leave. I put my gear back in my car and the venue's staff let me back in a few minutes later. Thank you door dude!
Nobody got hurt, no gear was damaged, I got back in, and I got the shot ;-)
